FALL RIVER -- The Little Theatre of
Fall River will open its annual Firebarn season with the
musical "Forever Plaid."
"Forever Plaid" celebrates the goofy reincarnation of
four male singers, killed in a car crash on the way to their
first big concert, miraculously revived for a plaid-fabulous
time.
Singing in
the closest of harmony, squabbling boyishly over the smallest
intonations, the Plaids are a guaranteed smash with a series
of well-loved pop hits of the ’50s and right-on patter that
keeps audiences humming along and laughing like crazy.
Their act is filled with dozens of nostalgic ’50s pop
hits including "Catch a Falling Star," "Chain Gang," "Magic
Moments," "Heart and Soul," "No, Not Much," "Love is a Many
Splendored Thing" and "Three Coins in the
Fountain."
The production stars John Ashley, Jarrad
Nunes, James Roy and Luke Mahar.
Jennifer Harris makes
her Little Theatre directorial debut with this production.
"Forever Plaid" is choreographed by Loralee Levesque with
Bobby Perry as musical director. Holly Ashley is the stage
manager and assistant director of the
production.
"Forever Plaid" will be staged at 8 p.m.
Thursday, June 17, to Saturday, June 19, and Thursday, June
24, to Saturday, June 26, and 7 p.m. Sunday, June 20 and 27,
at the Firebarn, 340 Prospect St. Tickets are $12, with
discounts available. For more information, call 508-675-1852
