Female roles: 7:00pm – 8:00pm      Male roles: 8:00pm-9:00pm

Those auditioning must be at least 16 years old and look age appropriate for

the role; and are encouraged, but not required, to come dressed in character.

Characters

Danny Zuko (tenor or baritone): Handsome, cocky, leader of the “Burger Place Boys”, strong and confident with a cool easy-going charm. Must be able to dance. Audition songs: Summer Nights, Alone at a Drive-In Movie.

Sandy Dombrowski (soprano): Sweet, wholesome, goody-goody, Danny’s love interest. Audition songs: Summer Nights, It’s Raining on Prom Night, Hopelessly Devoted to You.

Betty Rizzo (mezzo-soprano): Tough, sarcastic, and outspoken leader of the Pink Ladies, a sexy Italian with unconventional good looks. Audition songs: There are Worse Things I Could Do, Look at Me, I’m Sandra Dee.

Frenchy: Good natured, dumb, heavily made up dreamer and member of the Pink Ladies. She is fussy about her appearance and wants to be a beautician.

Marty (mezzo-soprano): The “beauty” of the Pink Ladies who ties to act sophisticated and likes older guys. Audition song: Freddy My Love.

Jan (mezzo-soprano): A funny, loud, and pushy tomboy who is shy with boys.

Kenickie (baritone): Tough-looking, surly, second- in- command of the Burger Palace Boys. Must be able to dance. Audition song: Greased Lightning.

Doody (tenor): Gullible, youngest member of the Burger Palace Boys who has a hero-worshipping attitude toward the other guys. Ability to play the guitar a plus. Audition Songs: Those Magic Changes, Rock ‘N Roll Party Queen.

Roger (tenor): Mischievous prankster, in love with Jan. Audition songs: Rock ’N Roll Party Queen, Mooning.

Sonny LaTierri: Wheeling and dealing Italian wise guy who thinks that he is a real lady killer.

Patty Simcox: Pretty, peppy, enthusiastic cheerleader and baton twirler.

Charlotte DeGrigorio, Cha-Cha: (alto): Loud-mouthed “best dancer at St. Bernadette’s”. Must be able to dance well.

Eugene Florczyk: Silly, pompous, smug nerd and class valedictorian.

Vince Fontaine: Egotistical, slick, radio disc jockey trying to relive his teenage years.

Johnny Casino: (baritone) “Greaser” student at Rydell High. Audition song: Born to Hand-Jive

Teen Angel: (tenor or baritone): A good-looking, singer who causes girls to scream and swoon. Audition song: Beauty School Dropout

Miss Lynch: A no nonsense old maid English teacher.
