FALL RIVER -- The Little Theatre of
Fall River continues its summer Firebarn subscription season
with the comedy "Ladies at the Alamo."
This comedy by Pulitzer Prize winning
playwright Paul Zindel looks at a multi-million dollar theater
in Texas where the board of directors threatens the longtime
artistic director with a takeover. The wealthy board president
is unhappy with the way things are being run, so she enlists
the talents of a former Alamo actress as the potential
successor to the longtime artistic director.
The drama
that ensues shows the characters’ true loyalties and exposes
some dirty little secrets about all of them along the
way.
The show stars Little Theatre favorite Dee
Kullander, Stacey Cabral, Fern Rouleau, Carol Caulfield and
Deb Medeiros.
The production is directed by James
Robinson, with Maryann Goulart as its stage
manager.
"Ladies at the Alamo" will be staged at 8 p.m.
Thursday through Saturday, Aug. 19 to 21 and Aug. 26 to 28,
and 7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 22 and 29, at the Firebarn, corner of
Prospect Street and Highland Avenue. Tickets are $12, with
discounts available for students, seniors and children. For
