FALL RIVER -- The Little Theatre of Fall River will open its annual summer subscription season with the British farce "Run for Your Wife," written by Ray Cooney.
"Run for Your Wife" is the story of taxi cab driver John Smith, his wife, Mary, and his other wife, Barbara. After performing a Good-Samaritan act, Smith is made a minor celebrity; and complications abound as the cabby tries to keep his double life from exploding.
Viewers will question their own sanity as the various ploys to keep the two wives apart accelerate out of control and become almost surreal.
Starring Ron Robinson, the cast of "Run for Your Wife" includes Tony Ferriera, Betty Teixeira, Ann Flynn, Gene Rheaume, Clifford Wood, Richard Bento and Marti Weaver.
The production is directed by Ralph Martin, with Kathy Castro as the productions stage manager.
"Run for Your Wife" will be staged at 8 p.m. June 19 to 21 and 26 to 28, and at 7 p.m. June 22 and 29, at the Firebarn, corner of Prospect Street and Highland Avenue. Single tickets are $10, with Senior discounts available. There are also offers a variety of subscription packages available.
